It was the 10th anniversary of Safer Internet Day on Tuesday 5th February. Our class read “The Adventures of Smartie Penguin” which taught us how to stay safe when using the Internet and to call for help if we were unsure. We made brilliant E-safety posters and we are sharing them with the school in assembly. Come and see what we have done.
Autumn Term News
Year 1′s classroom is named after the mythical creature. At the begining of the Autumn term we found out about dragons from different stories. Then Year 1,s topic was what would it be like to live in a wood? They have enjoyed listening to stories that are set in woods.Such as Red Riding Hood, The Three Bears, Hansel and Gretel, Can’t You Sleep Little Bear, Owl Babies and The Owl who was afraid of the Dark. They have investigated different light sources, and what it is like to be in the dark, some differences between night time and daytime. They have found out nocturnal animals could live in a wood . The homework challenge was to create an owl picture. The response was brilliant and a huge thank you to all who took part. The results have been fantanstic and are currently on display in our classroom.
